The Cydonia Group Declares War on Religion

Mega-Churches, Mosques and Synagogues Can Expect Their Attendants to be Overwhelmed by Their Children's Exposure to the True Horrors and Contradictions of Their Holy Books

Stone Mountain -- December 13, 2006. Cydonia Group has declared war on religions around the world. The Cydonia Group is a start-up defense contractor established to explore new science and technology and support the defense of science and reason.

Cydonia Group's activities primarily center around three main objectives. Primarily pursuing breakthroughs in advanced energy and weapons technology. Second is the insertion of science, reason and advanced technical knowledge into popular culture. Third is to identify and contain subversive religious threats and subversive corporate threats to science, reason, equality and democracy.

To that end, profits from the sale of Cydonia Group technology will help fund the operations of a growing number of Secular, Atheist and Humanist organizations worldwide. Plans for a powerful Washington lobby to represent the 30 million atheists, agnostics, humanists and progressives are being organized. "Our operations will continue until evangelicals, fundamentalists and extremists are bankrupt and powerless", says A D DeBruhl the Cydonia Group's founder.

To facilitate the work of the Cydonia Group A D DeBruhl published The Ultimate Truth: An Objective Commentary On Just About Everything. The release of DeBruhl's book marks the initiation of a campaign to bring scientific integrity and rational scientific thought to policy making. Many of the important issues currently debated are scientific at base. Thus, the need for improved public understanding of science and the way it affects our lives, is critical to social stability, equality and global security.

The Ultimate Truth is DeBruhl's proposal for a "no politician, no voter and no parent left behind" campaign which calls for measures to ensure that no policy making or law enforcing official at the local, state or national level remain in office without being informed of and demonstrating a functional knowledge of critical social science, natural science and physical science concepts. DeBruhl's campaign spells the beginning of the end for popularity contest elections and arbitrary, logically inconsistent, feel-good legislation that wins elections without permanently solving problems.

The enlightenment is under threat. So is reason. So is truth. So is science, especially in the schools of America. I am one of those scientists who feels that it is no longer enough just to get on and do science. We have to devote a significant proportion of our time and resources to defending it from deliberate attack from organized ignorance. We even have to go out on the attack ourselves, for the sake of reason and sanity. Of course, excellent organizations already exist for raising funds and deploying them in service of reason, science and enlightenment values ... But the money that these organizations can raise is dwarfed by the huge resources of religious foundations such as the Templeton Foundation, not to mention the tithe-bloated, tax-exempt churches. -- Richard Dawkins

The Defense industry is by far the single largest budgetary expense in the U.S. and many other nations. Nearly $500 billion will be allocated to the Department of Defense for Fiscal Year 07. If we can develop science and technology that renders some others obsolete, governments will become dependent upon our technology in the same way that much of the world is dependent upon Microsoft software to run computers. That is real power to effect change. -- A D DeBruhl
