Hello,
As for The Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Teachers Network (GLSTN), I personally don't want to get involved with that group, since the militant homosexual activists are doing more to promote religion than to promote reason, tolerance, privacy for same gender relationships and atheism. Because I have been in a same-gender relationship for 20 years, I support domestic partnership and sexual privacy between consenting adults, but I don't support fascist tactics of name-calling and intimidation used to get people to submit to their sexual religion. I feel so sorry for children growing up these days because they are being used as a battlefield by both the militant homosexuals and the Christian right.
I think that it is dangerous to teach children that relationships are established by sexual determinisms rather than by shared interests and love. Other atheists have sent me email saying they refuse to become involved in the coalition if it associates itself with the homosexual causes. Morever, the majority of self-identified homosexuals are not atheists and approach sex in religious terms rather than in terms of reason, and would be more of a liability than an asset to what atheists seek.

I would like to point out one thing regarding determinsim.
Gora spent his adult life railing against the idea of determinism, and went so far as to call it an essential element of theism.
