I tell people that I do not believe in God, but I do try to follow the Golden Rule. Often their response to that is, that the Golden Rule came straight from the lips of God. I say I learned the Golden Rule from a dog. I found that if I talk nice to the dog, pet the dog and give him a nice bone, he'll follow me and try his best to do my will. However, if I yell at him and kick him, he will bite me in the leg. Aha! God must be a dog because he sure taught me that Golden Rule real fast with his teeth and from out of his lips thereof. Therefore I best bow down to all dogs for they spoke this truth to me from out of their lips came their teeth with the truth. Dogs must be God.
