Dear Sir/Madam,
After just reading the section in FAQ regarding the Christian response to a sneeze I felt obliged to write to you.
Whenever my sister (who is 30) sneezes I wait for the second one as she always sneezes twice and then I do indeed say the obligatory "bless you." She always responds with a "thank-you" and then claps her hands once to prevent the death of a fairy.
Regards,
Niall Ryan

How does she know she is not inadvertently killing a færie with the hand-clap?

Maybe we have just discovered the true origin of the term "happy clapper" or "happy clappy."
