Cliff,
Humanity, in my opinion, a day after the bombing, seems as though it isn't worth an honorable footnote since our arrival on earth. Killers of the environment, other animals, and ourselves puts us into a single category. A file labeled, "Waste."
Now all I hear is revenge. We must get even. We must, also, kill innocent people before we can hold our head high with world pride. The circle goes around into nothing more than a welded chain of violence. This chain around our neck is seemingly unbreakable. It is kill or be killed. What a pity. This is not the correct path toward humanity. It is nothing more than a trail of destruction.
The US should, for once, show its ability to lead the world by acts of thought instead of revenge and prove to the world a correct way out of their blood drenched forest. Death creates death, so we must rise above this act of killing and use a better vision toward peaceful solutions. A true vision, is one mankind could rejoice over, but not carry a guilty conscience home. Let us not rekindle the crusades into our own versions of religious warfare. There are far to many innocent women, children and men on both sides of these issues, to grant the terrorist a hero, be they individual or country.
If you find my poor effort toward expression worth reprinting then please do so. Words, even from myself, feels mostly inadequate, in my opinion, to express the horror of what has recently happened in the USA, and what must soon take place, for most American citizens to have their vengeance paid in kind.
