A friend of mine forwarded me the spam mentioned in your "Six Wrongs" piece, and it was well before the September 21 date you mentioned. I deleted the message, so I don't have an actual date to give you, but I swear it was no later than the 17th.
Anyway, your response to it was spot on, and virtually identical (in idea, not text) to the one I voiced in my reply to her. (Note, she was not perpetrating it, she hated it as much as you and I do.)
