After reading the mail concerning religion in your magazine, I am spooked by its importance in American every day life (religion, not your magazine). It is much easier to ignore the propaganda machine of the god squad here in Wales. My daughter has worked in your country, teaching in Pennsylvania. She was horrified by the control and power that religious institutions seemed to have over the population. I cannot understand how what I consider to be extremists have gained so much power in such an educated society as America.
