We Who Choose
to Think Must
Make Ourselves Heard
I just wanted to express my gratitude for your justified arguments. In this era of mysticism (political and societal), those of us who choose to think, need to make our voices heard. Though we have come along way in our objective approach to discovery, the threat of religious fanaticism still exists. I know Stephen Jay Gould would share my sentiments exactly, so I'll leave you with his words:
The most important scientific revolutions all include, as their only common feature, the dethronement of human arrogance from one pedestal after another of previous convictions about our centrality in the cosmos.
